Donors who are US residents and wish to donate to Canadian charities can do so through our partnership with the Givio Charitable Foundation (EIN: 47-3955325). By donating to the Place2Give Foundation through Givio you’ll get a US tax receipt and still benefit the Canadian charity of your choice.

Program Benefits:

This program offers a number of benefits:

  1. Ability for American donors to easily support their favourite charities in Canada.
  2. American donors get a tax receipt from Givio Foundation, and IRS recognized charity for tax deductibility.
  3. Allows the charity to receive either US or Canadian currencies (they determine the currency).

You will be re-directed from Place2Give to Givio where you can make a donation by credit card. Once you submit your credit card information you can designate the donation by typing in the name of the charity or the name of the Place2Give GIVE fund that you want the donation directed to.
